will it REALLY be easier?

i don't know if i mentioned this earlier when my mom brought the idea up but she said to me one time when we were speaking to each other on the phone, "that's what you should get- you should get a scooter! have you ever asked anyone for one of those? who do you ask?" then i said unenthusiastically, "uh.. probably my case manager." i don't know if she's just trying to make things easier for me or she's trying to make me age fast. scooters are for fat people, people with missing limbs, or for people with parkinson's disease. putting me in a scooter will just slow down my progress in walking and getting to where I wanna be. i can understand her trying to make things easier for me but i really don't think that it'll end up easier in the end.
